Keeping up to date

ESIFS purchases professional research on investment products from a number of sources including VanEyk, SuperRatings and Mercer. In addition, a number of support staff is employed by ESIFS to provide technical and training support to ensure a high standard of investment and strategic advice is provided to clients. All advice staff have a structured training plan set each year to ensure they stay up to date with legislation and other changes.

Investment products recommended by ESIFS advisers are selected from a small list of products researched by ESIFS to be of an acceptable standard for use by its clients.

ESIFS has also adopted a peer review process to ensure that written financial advice provided by its advisers has been reviewed by a peer adviser before being presented to clients.

As part of the professional development of its advisers, ESIFS provides membership of the FPA. Advisers are also encouraged to reach the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditation, being the highest recognised qualification in the Financial Planning industry.
