Canstar Cannex has awarded ESI Super a 5 Star award for outstanding value from a super fund as part of their first superannuation star rating report. ESI Super is joined by eight other fund winners who received 5 a star rating. Federal Government releases Cooper Review into superannuation

This month, the Federal Government released the final report of the review into the governance, efficiency, structure and operation of Australia's Superannuation System, also known as the Cooper Review.
This review was commissioned in May 2009 to provide the government with recommendations on how to make superannuation simpler, safer and more efficient.
ESI Super is awaiting the Federal Government’s formal response to the recommendations made in the report. This is due in the coming weeks.

Self-funded retirees to benefit from an extension in drawdown relief for account-based pensions

The Gillard Government will continue to support self-funded retirees by extending the drawdown relief currently provided for account-based superannuation pensions to the 2010-11 year, click here.
